Tuesday (25th July) Evening: Welcome drinks at the City Tavern
An informal pub welcome will be held at the City Tavern pub in Newcastle city centre before the conference begins on the evening of 25th July. The pub serves various beers, ales, wines, spirits and soft drinks. Guests will also be able to order food if they wish.
We hope that this will provide an excellent opportunity for delegates to meet and mingle ahead of the conference.
The Pub is 10 minute walk from New Bridge Street. Conference organisers will meet delegates in the accommodation reception at 6.20pm for those who wish to walk to the venue as a group.

Post-PhD life, what’s next?
Three PsyPAG Alumni (Daniel Jolley, Laura Longstaff and Bernadette Robertson) will provide a little background on their post-PsyPAG journeys and provide some anecdotes from the PhD submission to job interviews. We have a breadth of experience between the three of us, with experiences both in and outside of academia, so one of us may be following a path that interests you. We will then open the floor for delegates to pose questions on their worries, concerns and excitement for post-PhD journeys. We then hope to put to rest the worries and underline the (mostly) exciting journey of post-PhD life.
Thursday (27th July) evening: Conference Dinner at the Assembly Rooms
The conference dinner will be held at the beautiful Assembly Rooms on the evening of 27th July. The evening will begin with a drinks reception at 7.00pm and will be followed by a four course dinner, wine on the tables, DJ and late bar open until 1.00am.

Starter: – Chicken liver pate + homemade fruit chutney+ hand sliced crispy toast
Carrot & coriander Soup + croutons (v)
Main: – Chicken with white wine, cream & pimiento sauce + flat leaf parsley
Wilted spinach & ricotta served in a handmade filo basket + tomato sauce (v)
Dessert: -Light profiterols with a chocolate sauce and fresh cream
